Welcome to Shri Kurumbakkavu Bahagavathy Temple. The temple is situated in a Beautiful village called Edathala which is 8 km away from Aluva Railway station and 20 km away from Cochin international Airport.
The Divine Mother known as Kurumbakavilamma is being worshipped here as the main Deity. Apart from the main deity, the temple complex consists of a temple for Sastha,peedam for Nagas, Khandakarnan, Rakshas and Kshetrapalakan.The temple also have a big Banyan tree( Aalmaram) which is worshipped as Vriksharaja or the king of trees,which makes the atmosphere pleasant and cool and give mental peace and harmony to devotees.
"MEENA BHARANI" ,The Birthday of Kurumbakavilamma is the most important festival of the temple and is celebrated on "Bharani Nakshatram" in the month of Meenam (March/April).The temple also have special poojas in the month of Karkidakam with the chanting of the holy scripture Ramayanam daily,Navaratri poojas,Mandala pooja followed by Sashtampaatu in the month of Vrischikam.
